Each digit in a number has a fixed position called place. Each digit has a value depending its place called place value.
Face Value: Face value of a digit for any place in the number is the value of the digit itself.
Place Value = Face Value × Place

Note: The place value and face value of 0 is 0 .The place of 0 is not 0.
