1. Like Fractions


Like fraction are fractions in which the denominator are same.
E.g $3/7$ , $2/7$

In Like Fraction , fraction with greater numerator is the greater fraction

Compare $3/7$ , $2/7$ .
Since denominators are same, compare the numerators of the fractions.
Since 3> 2, so $3/7$ > $2/7$ .

2. Unlike Fractions


Unlike fraction are fractions in which the denominator are not same.
E.g $3/5$ , $2/7$ , $3/6$

Case 1: If two unlike fractions have same numerators , the fraction with the greater denominator is the smaller fraction

Case2: If the numerator and denominators are not same, then the fractions are converted to equivalent fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators .
