Factors

A number when divided by a divisor is such a manner that the remainder is 0, then the divisor is called factor of the number.
or
A factor is a number that divides the given number such that the remainder is 0.
or The numbers that are multiplied to obtained a product are called factors .

Properties of Factors

• 1 and the number itself is always the factor of the number.
• 1 is the smallest factor and the number is the highest factor.
• A number can have more than 2 factors.
• A factor of the number is less than or equal to the given number.
• The factors of any numbers are finite.

Multiples

The product of two numbers are called multiples. Muiltiples are multiplication of a given number.

Properties of MUltiples

• Every number is a multiples of itself.
• Every number is a multiple of 1
• Every multiples is greater than or equal to that number
• The first(smallest) multiples of every number is the number itself
• The multiples of any number are infinite. So there is no greatest multiples.
